What does Manual ground screw driver consist of?
Manual ground screw driver consists of two parts:
- The Hydraulic power pack is a universal source of hydraulic energy
- The Hydraulic drive head is a hydraulic tool, it is designed specifically for the installation of screw piles, modularly connected to the Hydraulic power pack through high pressure hoses with quick couplers.
The handheld equipment is very compact, but very powerful. It can be used to install screw piles even inside the building.
What does Self-Propelled ground screw machine consist of?
- Tracked platform with outriggers;
- Hydraulic power pack (the engine capacity of 20 horsepower);
- Rotary telescoping boom;
- Hydraulic head driver;
- Multifunctional work control unit;
- Wireless control panel.
Such equipment allows maximally reduce the number of workers. It takes only 1 person – operator.
Mechanical screw pile installation is the most reliable due to the constant torque, although the quality of piles also plays a big role (hyperlink to the article on the choice of screw piles – molded, welded, multiblade). The piles are installed by the mechanical method have a greater precision and, thanks to the pressure gauge, you will always understand whether the pile has reached the load-bearing ground.
What is the difference between modifications?
Manual and self-propelled equipment Torsion has several modifications. They can be equipped with engines and hydraulic drive heads of different power. The difference of engine power varies from 12 to 20 hp. Hydraulic drive heads can have torque (4300 – 5600 – 7000 – 8700 – 11000 Nm) depending on your requirements and different tasks. For example, you need to screw some piles for the fence. Probably, you will install small diameter piles. The best way to solve the problem is to use a hydraulic drive head with a rated capacity of 4300Nm.
In the case of piles for larger structures, for a house of sauna or for a private house from a wooden beam, if heavy soils you should pay attention to a hydraulic drive head with a higher torque – 8,700 or 11,000 Nm.
